Performancing for Firefox from version 1.2 onwards now has support

for FTP and uploading images. From the right-click menu you have simple FTP interface and from within WYSIWYG editing interface there is a more integrated two-step image upload facility that will upload an image then insert it into your post at the current cursor location.
